Cable network AMC has renewed Mad Men for a fourth season, according to reports. Which is not surprising seeing as the show brought in 4.5 million (according to Digitalspy) veiwers for its 3rd season premiere. However for UK fans I’m not sure Mad Men will return to BBC Four (though this is just a hunch) for its current 3rd season as the show 2nd season ratings were in short – terrible. Although (despite promotion – which is lost on many american shows on the BBC) a moderate premiere of around 250,000 veiwers the show quickly lost veiwership. Loosing its place in the channel’s top 10, meaning it was beaten by repeats of other shows – which even for an imported drama is bad.
